Snapjaw: Flytrap Game — Support

How to play

Your phone is a Venus flytrap.

• On iPhone Duo: the two halves of the inner screen are the jaws. Wait for a fly to land (it gets a glowing ring), then close the phone fast. While it’s closed, the outer screen shows the plant chewing. Keep it shut until it’s done, or the bug escapes.
• On any other iPhone: touch and hold the screen to snap the jaws shut. Keep holding while it chews.

Tips

• Bees sting. Never snap on a bee. If a bee lands on the outside of the closed trap, wait for it to fly off before opening.
• Golden flies are fast and worth 5 points.
• Snapping on nothing costs energy. If the hunger bar runs out, the game ends.
• Lightning snap (iPhone Duo): fold really fast for bonus points. It also dazes nearby bugs so you can catch them next.
• Combos: catch something on every snap to raise your multiplier. Catch two bugs at once for double points.

Questions

No flies come to the trap on my iPhone Duo. Open the phone wider. Flies only come in when the trap is open past about 100°. The game shows “Open the phone wider” when it’s too closed.

When does the daily challenge change? Every day at 00:00 UTC. Everyone gets the same bugs in the same order that day, so you can compare scores with friends.

How do I unlock new plant colors? Every point you score feeds your plant. As it grows, it unlocks Sunset, Royal, Ghost, Lava and Gold. Pick a color in the menu.

I don’t see leaderboards. Sign in to Game Center in the Settings app, then reopen Snapjaw. The Leaderboards button appears on the menu once you’re signed in. Folding and touch players are ranked separately.

How do I turn off sound? Tap Sound on in the menu to switch it off.

How do I reset my progress? Delete and reinstall the app. All progress is stored only on your device.
